Anne-Marie de Spa, a pioneering figure as one of the country's first practising Beauty Therapists and founding figures of our Beauty Therapy Association, created de Spa Cosmetics Ltd to represent the Sothys brand in 1988.
It wasn't until 1982 during a tour to Paris to find a professional skincare she could use in her Christchurch clinic, that she fell in love with the brand she once trained in, after meeting with the Sothys company founder Mr Bernard Mas and learning about the amazing treatments and product solutions that were available and more importantly the integrity Sothys represented.

de Spa Cosmetics is one of New Zealand's most respected and trusted suppliers and educators of professional skincare and makeup.
With Technical Trainers in both North and South Islands, we are able to provide timely and close contact with everyone of our clinic partners.
Vanessa Feehan-Meldrum and Gina Turner curate and deliver dynamic and customised Therapist Training programmes and work closely with the clinic owners to help develop their businesses to their full potential.
We fundamentally believe that the personal and regular contact we provide sets us apart as one of New Zealands premium boutique suppliers.

Like Sothys in France, de Spa Cosmetics is also a family owned business with Anne-Marie's son Jean-Michel Tallott joining the company in 2003 and continuing the reputation for developing meaningful customer relationships that Anne-Marie has become renowned for. His main role is in marketing and managing the brand profiles.

Serena Hansen who has a financial management background provides essential after sales and business support. Her experience in a number of industries and her time at de Spa Cosmetics since first joining in 2002 ensures all our clinic owners have all the resources and stock they require to run their businesses efficiently.
And lastly, we have Cathie part-time in the warehouse, supporting our team with all the daily operations.
